Built for home service businesses
Cylas
One app for the office, the crew, and the doors.
A home service business came to us looking to build software they could sell. We developed Cylas, a full-service CRM with door-to-door mapping and payroll. Now we are helping market it.

The challenge
Build the software they wanted to use. And sell.
The client came to Blue Heron with a product idea grounded in a home service business. They wanted an app that could serve other business owners, not just an internal tool for their own operation.
The need was to bring service management and door-to-door sales together. Owners often think of those as separate tool categories: the CRM and scheduling role of Jobber, and the canvassing role of SalesRabbit. Cylas brings those jobs into one product, with payroll included too.
Our approach
Connect the working day.
We developed Cylas around a connected service-business workflow. The public product story follows the work from a knock on the door to a quote, a booking, the completed job, and payment.
Customer management
A full-service CRM for the business behind the crew, connecting customer relationships with the work that follows.
Door-to-door mapping
Map knocks, record outcomes, and assign territories so canvassing belongs in the same workflow as service delivery.
Scheduling and dispatch
Calendar views, crew assignments, and route planning keep the office and the field connected.
Quotes through payment
Move from quote to job to invoice, then send online payment links through Stripe or Square.
Payroll
Payroll is part of the app, bringing another business-owner responsibility into the product.
Recurring work and follow-up
Service plans, reminders, review requests, and follow-ups support the relationship beyond one completed job.
The outcome
An idea became a product.
Cylas is now an app the client is selling to home service businesses. Blue Heron's contribution is the software development behind it, and our work continues as we help market the product.
This is a product-delivery case study, not a claim about subscriber growth or advertising returns. Marketing is underway; revenue, adoption, and campaign results are not being reported here.
